I was just about to leave the house on Saturday to go to Boston to visit some family when the buzzer rang. I asked who it was, and there was a muffled response. I thought it was a delivery person and I'm expecting a delivery so I pushed the buzzer. I stood out in the hall and waited. A minute later an elderly black man who was blind in one eye appeared at the top of the stairs. A young girl, I would guess 12 years old, stood behind him. The man said something about "The Watchtower", and I knew who they were. I asked them to leave saying I had accidentally buzzed them in, but I must ask them to leave the building. I didn't want to be "that guy" who let the Jehovah's witnesses into the building, like Elaine. The young girl turned to leave, but the old man persisted. I had to walk them out to the front door, apologizing the whole time. Then after we exited the front door, they stood at the stoop, looking as if they were going to just keep buzzing other apartments, so I stared at them, incredulously, and asked them to get off the stoop and I apologized to them.

Thus we enter the last days of MLS. David Beckham comes to America to conquer the New World, but he'll end up bankrupting it instead. After the fan fare and sold out Home Depot appearances wears off a couple years from now, MLS will be stuck with a Los Angeles Galaxy bankrupt from it's $50 million obligation to Beckham.

One of the side effects of quitting my job is that I have to get a laptop. I am using my work laptop for everything, but I have to give that back, possibly next week. I'm stumped as to which one to get.

If you see something, say something.... to someone else

Overheard at JFK

Guy: Excuse me... are you security? There's a bag over there unattended.
Security: I'm on my break.
Guy: So a bomb can't go off on your break?

Both Lautenberg and Menendez voted for the torture bill.

I would rather throw away my vote than vote for that Menendez Bozo. I wonder if he would have voted for it if he hadn't had that scandal last week.

I kind of expect Menendez to be a Bozo at this point, but the Lautenberg's vote is more hurtful.

I feel like listening to Rage Against the Machine and voting for the Green Party.
